EXODUS 31:1-6.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
-Exodus 31 : 1
“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
-Exodus 31 : 2
And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
-Exodus 31 : 3
to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,
-Exodus 31 : 4
in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.
-Exodus 31 : 5
“And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you:
-Exodus 31 : 6
God gave Bezalel and Oholiab spirit-filled abilities in artistic craftsmanship. Take note that God gives His people abilities suitable for them . He said he has given mankind the measure of faith, …”According as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith”. Roman 12:3 Meaning to everyone different measure of ability according to the capacity found in him/her. Don’t look down on yourself or envy anybody according to his ability rather find out a way of enhancing your own ability.
When God called Moses out to send him to Pharaoh ; Moses argued and pleaded with God to let him out of this kind of mission because he will obviously embarrassed himself as well as embarrassed God for his inability to speak well. Then Moses said “O Lord I’m not very good with words. I never have been and I’m not now, even though spoken to me. I get tongue-tied and my words get tangled. But the Lord answered Moses and said “Who makes a person’s mouth ? Who decides whether people speaks or do not speak, hear or do not hear , see or do not see? Is not I , the Lord ? Now go, I will be with you as you speak and I will instruct you in what to say”. (Exodus 4:10-11). NLT
When good send you , He does not look at what men may probably consider inadequacy rather He makes his name to be magnified through your inability by equipping you to perform and achieve result.
Check through the Bible , God do not send the qualified person rather He qualified the sent.
Daniel and his three friends were few of the captives taken from Judah to Babylon and were found to be favored by Ashpenaz the master of the king’s eunuchs who was assigned to recruit skillful in all wisdom and intelligent young men for special duties for king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon.
Daniel 1:4
[4] Youths without blemish, well-favored in appearance and skillful in all wisdom, discernment, and understanding, apt in learning knowledge, competent to stand and serve in the king’s palace—and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.
David was in the bush caring for the family flocks and herds And was not counted for when his family were considered for roll calls in the consideration of who will be the next anointed king of Israel yet when God was to appoint He did not considered the strength or the height of Eliab nor does the recommendation of Jesse their father for Abinadab changed God’s plan yet they all stood up for the arrival of David who wasn’t in the picture from the beginning because the Spirit of God was with him. Read 1samuel 16 :5-13.
The Bible told us that the gift of a man makes way for him. What Is it that God has deposited in you as a talent or skill, work on them to enhance it make it active and productive no matter how small. Do not despise a humble beginnings.
in the parable of a talent the Bible says the kingdom of God is likened to be like when a man wants to embark on a journey he called his servants and put them in charge of his property.
to each one he gave according the ability in him, to one he gave 5 talent, to another 2 talent and yet to another he gave 1 talent before he left for his journey.
The one who received 5 talent invested on his money and made an interest of another five talent. The one with two talent invested his own and gained two more talent but the guy with one talent went to bury his own without investing his talent. The master of these servant came to get account of the servant performance the guy with one talent has no good account to render because he played away his time and buried the little given to him, he ended up complaining and accused his master of being a hard man, reaping where he did not sow and gathering where he did not scatter. Please read Matthew 25:5-29.
The man who was given the lest talent was surely according to the ability in him. Instead of using it or being innovative with it he considered himself not good enough to have to give a good report of his stewardship due to fear of the unknown. He said “And I was afraid and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Look there you have what is yours” (Matthew 25:25)
Some of us are like that slothful servant, out Of fear we refused to dare, trying and failing is better than not trying at all. We like blaming others for our ineptness. The Bible teaches us that everything we do should be done “heartily as to the Lord and not to man” Colossians 3:23.
Seek to bring glory to God in everything you do by working with excellent spirit in exercising your ability, don’t bury or stagnant it with excuses. You can start from where you are even with the little you have.
May God help us to fulfill His calling on our lives and may we work excellently to bring glory to God Amen.
