Every human beings needs divine encouragement and support daily. Several passages in the bible affirmed God\’s encouragement for His children in time of difficulties, great men like Moses, Joshua, Abraham David and the rest of prophets and kings, mothers and fathers of faith whose lives were tremendiously touched by God when it really matters most in their lives could clearly hear God when He spoke in the book of Isaiah 41:10 \”FEAR NOT,FOR I AM WITH THEE:BE NOT DISMAYED FOR I AM THY GOD ;I WILL STRENGTHEN THEE ;YEA, I WILL UPHOLD THEE WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF MY RIGHTOUSNESS\”.
Relating it to what is happening now; yes there is stress and recession in the country, how to coop with the economic situation becomes another dilema, people are facing every day. Being able to trust God and putting up with tolerable attitude while hoping that things will be better soonest actually keeps them moving. Many people with feable minds have chosen to induldged in various vices like committing sucide, while others take to crimes of all sorts others resgined to being docile not wanting to make effort at all on how to make a head way.
Since the history of the world there have always been recession, for people who are not ready to make some sacrifice of necessary adjustment will always be a victim of the side effect that will accompany recession in any country. In the time of Abraham, Abraham left his place of abode and journeyed to the south and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur and stayed in Gerar in search of better life ( Genesis 20: 1-8). Do not forget that Abraham was the \”called\” of the Lord and he was God\’s friend yet that did not stop him from facing certain human challenges. In the time of lsaac it happeaned to the point that lsaac wanted to leave that country but God spoked to him and warned him and encouraged him not to leave the land instead lsaac sowed in that land and reaped 100 folds of his investment and he become the envey of the king of the land (Genesis 26:1-14 ) yet Isaac inherited all his father\’s wealth, that did not stop him from suffering lack in time of famine. In the book of (2king 6:25-30) There was great famine in the land of Samaria, two women bond themselves together in agreement to eat up their children, one after the other because it got to the point where people began to developed survival instinct sufficing it as any thing goes to keep them moving for the next day…….
Now there are recessions in many nations, Nigeria not peculair to the economic crunch we are suffering from, l know the situation is very frustrating but to them that know their God will be strong and do exploit. So what matters must is your attitude and your capability to hold on while it last, for example, the bible recorded how lsaac sowed when there was a great famine in that land at a time when people could no longer faced it rather they took a walk and he sowed and reaped 100 fold, so much so that people began to envey him and called him a prosperous man, even the king of that land was envious of him. Do not be discouraged and do not pack your baggage yet for there is hope, hard time does not last for ever. Look unto God who will not let you suffer hardship.
