DEAD TO SIN.

Read the book of (Romans 6:11-12), it reveals to us how we are dead to sin but alive in Christ Jesus…….

\”Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you should obey its lusts\”.

Sin is the condition into which all descendants of fallen Adam are born (Romans 5:12). Sin is living our lives independently of God. It\’s the result of being deceived by Satan to believe that meaning and purpose in life may be achieved apart from a personal relationship with, and obedience to, the Creator of life (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20;1 John 5:12). In the non-Christian, sin permeates the old nature, dominates the old self, and perpetuates the deeds of the flesh. Satan is at the heart of all sin (1 John 3:8). He deceives people into believing a lie and counsels them to rebel against God.

When you received Christ you died to sin and its power to dominate you will be broken. Satan and sin have not died; they are still strong and appealing. But you no longer have to sin because you are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ (Romans 6:11). You are not dead to sin because you consider it so; you consider it so because In Christ you have already died to sin.

Be discerning, don\’t allow Satan to get hold of your weakness thereby making you vulnerable to sin.  Be ready to shune evil or any devices that may lure you to  sin,  if you are fond of bonding with the wrong person(s) it means you\’re yielding yourself to that which will lead you into compromising your stand in the Lord. Bad manners corrupt absolutely and the word of  God says do not be deceived Evil company corrupts good habits.

HOW CAN WE OVERCOME OUR WEAKNESSES.                                         Christ Himself carried our sins in His body to the  cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed.  You were like a sheep that had lost their way now you have been brought back to follow the shepherd and keeper of your souls. (1 Peter 2:24-25)                                    That\’s it just follow the prompting of the master, come back to His grace and obtain mercy to overcoming all the  devices of the enemy.  Break away from every covenant with the demons and commit yourself to Christ.                      Allow God to dwell richly in you and ask Him to forgive all your trespasses and let Him come into your heart to be your Lord and personal saviour.  Then you  begin to experience His cleansing and healing in yourlife. Believe in Him and live.   Cheers! Blessing.
