\”For we are not unmindful of the devices of the enemies\”.that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes. … that we may not be over-reached by the Adversary, for of his devices we are not … (2 Choriantain 2:11). For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this … (Ephesians 6:12 ).
Battles do abound, it might come in different forms and direction but the word of God says put on the whole amour of God…. There are people in the Bible that fought battles at various times and places of their lives yet they prevailed, people like David and many others. For instance David
“So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.”
1 Samuel 17:50 KJV
In this world ,so long as we interact with others; we will always face battles.The interesting thing ,however, is that no matter how fierce the battle ,we will always be victorious (Romans 8:37,2 Corinthians 2:14)
The battle can be related to health, finance, marriage, business or even ministry.
With God, we can win a battle without a fight.Has it not occurred to you that in the battles of life, the real Warrior is God Himself and only using you as a physical symbol to deal with the enemy?
(a)“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”Exodus 14:14.
(b)“….., Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God\’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15.
(c)“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Psalms 20:7.
(d)“With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles…..” 2 Chronicles 32:8.
Example of David:(1 Samuel 17:17-58)
1.He never had any military training, though his brothers were in the military.
2.God gave him natural training with the Lion and with the Bear in the bush
3.He never had any Conventional weapon but just a sling and a stone
4.He was more interested in using God\’s name than in King Saul\’s amour.
5.He was ready to confront Goliath headlong, while a whole King was dodging.
When you faced with the battle of life What to do:
1.Depend absolutely on the Lord(Ps.124:8).
2.Do not be afraid of the enemy(Jer.1:8)
3.Don\’t be discouraged by others (Isa.50:7)
4.Take your instruction from the Lord and go in His name(Ps.60:12).
Always Pray through these prayer Points when faced with challenges and battle of life :
1.Father,no matter the battles we are confronted with,please fight for us.
2.Almighty God ,You are the Master Strategist, teach my hands to do valiantly.
3.Father,help me not to rely on the arm of flesh so that I don\’t become a victim.
4.Celebrate in the Lord not on your efforts.
