And God said \”I will make all my goodness pass before you and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you, for I will show gracious to whom I will be gracious and will show compassion (loving kindness) on whom I will show compassion\”.(Exodus 33:19).
Have you ever pause to think that God\’s mercies and His goodness to mankind is according to His divine will not of merit least no man is qualified as per your righteousness since He considered our righteousness as a filthy rags before Him. \”For He said to Moses I will have mercy on whom ever I will have mercy and I will show compassion on whom ever I will show compassion. (Romans 9:15).
Never in yourlife envy any body because you don\’t know what is working out for him, is not about your hard work or the length of time you put in a particular job that put you on the top above others who are doing the same job No! Is His grace. I am what I am by the grace of God says Paul in the book of 1Corinthians 15:10. Your race in life could only be determined by the level of The Grace Of God upon your life. That\’s why king Solomon in his book Ecclesiastes 9:11\” l return and I saw under the sun that-The race is nor for the swift nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding nor favour to men of skill. But chances happens to them all…..\”
Is not of him that runs or he that wills but of him that shows mercy. If that\’s the case can any one attracts God\’s loving-kindness to himself despite the fact that is God\’s prolegative to show mercy on His own?
Yes! There are lots of people who despite there short comings enjoyed God\’s mercy because of their actions in invoking God\’s attention to themselves. And God listened to their appeal and show them mercy. King David was one of such man who despite his callousness to Uriah by going to bed with Uriah\’s wife yet masterminded the killing of Uriah but when his sin was revealed to him by a prophet Nathan, he felt terribly sorry and seek the face of the Lord in repentance and he was forgiven.(2 Samuel 12:1-17). In the book of 2king 20:1-10) Hezekiah prayed fervently that his life may be speard since he doesn\’t want to die yet and it was granted to him, his life was extended. What about the woman caught in the act of adultery, her sin was forgiven her and was admonished to go home and sin no more (John 8:1-12).
The Samaritan woman whom Jesus meet at the well side in the book of John 4:1-42. You can earnestly earn God\’s loving-kindness if you do his will and obey His commandments despite your past life, if you can turn back to Him in repentance. \”As many as l love, l rebuke and chasten, therefore be zealous and repent Behold I stand at the door and knock if anyone hears my voice and open I will come in to him and dine with him and he with me. To whom who overcome I will grant to sit with me on my throne…. \” (Revelation 3:19-21).
I pray that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ may richly abide in you all the time in Jesus name Amen. Cheers!
