\”My child, have you promised to be responsible for someone else\’s debts? 2 Have you been caught by your own words, trapped by your own promises? 3 Well then, my child, you are in that person\’s power, but this is how to get out of it: hurry to him, and beg him to release you. 4 Don\’t let yourself go to sleep or even stop to rest. 5 Get out of the trap like a bird or a deer escaping from a hunter\”( Proverbs 6: 1-5)
As the saying goes if you want to keep and maintain a good relationship you must learn not to make a promise when you\’re happy, don\’t reply to anything when you\’re angry and don\’t make decisions when you\’re sad.
Do you know that words rightly used gives life and blessings, one of the greatest problems human beings face today is not being mindful of the use of words, that\’s why the book of Proverbs chapter 15;4 says That the tongue that brings healing is a tree of life but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
How often do you go about promising without keeping to your promise, a man is known by the fruits of his word and by their fruit ye shall know them. What kind of witness do you bear by the conduct of your action, Are you a man of your word? Do you take responsiblity for your actions? \”Pleasant words are a honey comb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Whosever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good, he must seek peace and pursue it. (1 peter 3:10-11). There must be checks and balances in your way of life at all time, know when to act and when not to commit your self to an action which will not add to your credibility if you must be a person of honour for a prudent person sees danger and takes refuge but the simple keep going until he suffers for it. \”He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity\” (proverbs21:23). So guide your heart for out of it lies the issue of life. Cheers! Be Bless As You Read. Blessing
