WHOSE REPORTS DO YOU BELIEVE?.

Genesis 15:12-31

12 The sun began to go down and Abram got very sleepy. While he was asleep, a very terrible darkness came over him.
13 Then the Lord said to Abram, “You should know this: Your descendants will live in a country that is not their own. They will be strangers there. The people there will make them slaves and be cruel to them for 400 years.

14 But then I will punish the nation that made them slaves. Your people will leave that land, and they will take many good things with them.

15 “You yourself will live to be very old. You will die in peace and will be buried with your family.
16 After four generations your people will come to this land again and defeat the Amorites. That will happen in the future because the Amorites are not yet guilty enough to lose their land.”
17 After the sun went down, it got very dark. The dead animals were still on the ground, each animal cut into two pieces. Then a smoking firepot and a flaming torch passed between the halves of the dead animals.
18 So on that day the LORD made a promise and an agreement with Abram. He said, “I will give this land to your descendants. I will give them the land between the River of Egypt and the great river Euphrates.
19 This is the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”

Exodus 3:7-17

7 Then the LORD said, “I have seen the troubles my people have suffered in Egypt, and I have heard their cries when the Egyptians hurt them. I know about their pain.

8 Now I will go down and save my people from the Egyptians. I will take them from that land and lead them to a good land where they can be free from these troubles. It is a land filled with many good things. Many different people live in that land: the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
9 I have heard the cries of the Israelites, and I have seen the way the Egyptians have made life hard for them.
10 So now I am sending you to Pharaoh. Go! Lead my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”
11 But Moses said to God, “I am not a great man! How can I be the one to go to Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of Egypt?”
12 God said, “You can do it because I will be with you. This will be the proof that I am sending you: After you lead the people out of Egypt, you will come and worship me on this mountain.”
13 Then Moses said to God, “But if I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors sent me,’ then the people will ask, ‘What is his name?’ What should I tell them?”
14 Then God said to Moses, “Tell them, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ When you go to the Israelites, tell them, ‘I AM’ sent me to you.”
15 And God said, “Tell the Israelites that you were sent by YAHWEH, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. This will always be my name. It is how I want the people to remember me from now on.
16 “Now go and call together the elders of the people. Tell them that YAHWEH, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—appeared to you. Give them this message from me: ‘I have been watching over you and have seen what people in Egypt have done to you.
17 And I have decided that I will take you away from the troubles you are suffering in Egypt. I will lead you to the land that now belongs to others—the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. I will lead you to a land filled with many good things.

Numbers 13 :25-33

25 The men explored that country for 40 days, and then they went back to the camp.

26 The Israelites were camped near Kadesh, in the desert of Paran. The men went to Moses and Aaron and all the Israelites. They told Moses, Aaron, and all the people what they saw and showed them the fruit from the land.
27 The men told Moses, “We went to the land where you sent us. It is a land filled with many good things! Here is some of the fruit that grows there.
28 But the people living there are very powerful. The cities are very large and strongly defended. We even saw some Anakites there.
29 The Amalekites live in the Negev. The Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country. The Canaanites live near the sea and by the Jordan River.”
30 Caleb told the people near Moses to be quiet. Then Caleb said, “We should go up and take that land for ourselves. We can easily take that land.”
31 But the men who had gone with him said, “We cannot fight those people! They are much stronger than we are.”
32 So those men gave a report that discouraged the people. They said, “The land we saw is full of strong people. They are strong enough to easily defeat anyone who goes there.
33 We saw the giant Nephilim people there! (The descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim.) We felt like little grasshoppers. Yes, we were like grasshoppers to them!”

Whose reports do you believe? Do you believe in man\’s report or God\’s report. We are living in a world where lots of contrasting reports flies everywhere. There are reports emanating from God and those that are from the devil based on lies and demonic manipulations to decieve the hearers. So in whose report do you believe in as was queried by Isaiah 53 :1

\”Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed\”.

According to the Bible verses in consideration, we saw how God visited Abraham and informed him of how his decendants will be desplaced and live in a foreign land and suffer lots of hardship and will be treated harshly like a slave for many years and thereafter God promised him of deliverance and after four generation, his people will come back to defeat the nations that had occupied those areas for such a donkey years in other to dwell in that land.

With the passage of time, we saw the history of the Israelites, their travails and God\’s intervention based on His convenant with Abraham God\’s friend and the father of faith. When Abraham was promised that he will be the father of many nations at his very old age and Sarah his wife also was advanced in age. Abraham did not consider the deadness of his wife Sarah\’s womb rather he decided to trust God on His word (Roman4:17-21) he believed that since God had declared and decreed it, it surely shall come to pass.

Most times is good to know what God has written in your account and for your favour so that the devil our enemy will not steal our inheritance from us due to ignorance. Anytime the devil comes knocking with his decit by quoting wrongly remind him what was correctly written like Jesus rebuked the Lucifer when he came to tempt Him in the wilderness……But He answered and said \”it is written man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceed from the mouth of God\” (Matthew 4:4)

If man comes up with a contrary report which is not according to what God said concerning your situations who do you believe. Let God be true, and Everyman a liar even if it takes so long a time, still trust God for His word which cannot be broken, it surely will deliver according to what He has said.

Yeah! It took the Isaerlites so many years to enter the promised Land, if the likes of Joshua and Caleb wherent in their midst they would have missed the land flowing with milk and honey promised them by God due to their unbelief.

What did man say concerning your health situation? Did the doctor\’s report frightening you?As such you have exhausted all your earnings visiting both Orthodox and none orthodox means seeking for solution relax, the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years as was recorded in the book of mark 5: 25-34, didn\’t give up. She hanged on there and suddenly she heard that Jesus Christ was in the neighborhood . She decided in her heart that though she was unclean according to the Jewish customs yet tradition will not stop her from enjoying the presence of God and tapping onto the strength from Him because as soon as she touched the Hem of His cloth, Jesus confessed that power has gone out of Him. (Mark 5:30).

Has the doctor pronounced you barren? Claiming that there\’s no hope, tell him is a lie that the word of God says \”there shall be no barreness in that land\” and \”He grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of many children. Praise the Lord\” Allelujah! ( Psalm 113:9).

What are men saying concerning your financial status, did they say you can\’t worth nothing? Alas, for God raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash dump and make him sit with the princes and Kings of this world. Are you being bothered about the report of men and you feel ashamed of mixing up with others, don\’t let them talk you down God has a better regards for you, just find out what His thought towards you is and claim it. May it be well with you as you rest on His promises in Jesus name 🙏. Please leave a comment after reading. Thanks ✍️ Mrs Blessing I N Onugha.
