HINDERED PRAYERS.

Daniel 10:12-13.

. 12. Then he said to me, \”Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. 13. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia.

As I continue in my prayers and fasting there are four principal focal points that one must maintain as rules/laws for a fervent and earnest prayers that may attract God\’s attention towards these 21 days of waiting unto the Lord and which must be practically enforced to checkmate your input during the set period else these 21 days will be like a 21 days of hungar strike so that your prayers may not be hindered.

* You must shun evil and be ready to confess your sin(s).

\”If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land\”. (2Chronnicle 7:14).

In the book of Daniel before he set out to pray for his nation, he confessed his sins and the sins of the people and pray that God forgives them of all their sins. \”So I turned to the Lord and pleaded with Him in payers and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes. (Daniel 9:3).

* You must remain focus and listen to instructions. No matter what may want to distract your focus from the main issue refuse to yeild to that.

It was recorded of Elisha that he served his master very committedly that he did not allow any thing or advice to remove him from his master\’s presence

\”When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, \”Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.\” And Elisha said, \”Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.\” And he said, \”You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it shall be so for you, but if you do not see me, it shall not be so.\” And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it and he cried, \”My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!\” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. . And he took up the cloak of Elijah that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan\”. (2king 2:9-13.

* Be specific when you ask anything in pray. Do not be ambiguous when you ask or use repeated words. Do not use profane words either.

People asked and not receive because they asked amiss. You need not repeatedly ask using same word that was why Jesus told them in Matthew 6:7-8

“Don’t recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do, who think prayers are answered only by repeating them again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him\”. (Matthew 6:7-8).

In Matthew 7:7
“Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened\”.

It is not how much you pray but it is on the words you use that moves mountain. The constructive words that is simplified according to the word of God and His desire towards us for the thoughts he has for us definitely are better than what we think for ourselves.

* Making of vows. When you are in the presence of God, do not be in a haste to make any speech or be in a haste to make a vow for the Lord is not interested with your Vows rather He want it fulfilled if you have ever altered it.

When Jacob was about to leave his family and to embark on a journey he was not sure of what the future beholds for him, he called unto the Lord and vowed
\”And Jacob vowed this vow to God: “If God will help and protect me on this journey and give me food and clothes,
and will bring me back safely to my father, then I will choose Jehovah as my God!
And this memorial pillar shall become a place for worship; and I will give you back a tenth of everything you give me!\”. (Genesis 28:20-22).

Whenever you make a vow before the Lord do not delay in keeping to your vows and as a matter of principle you must redeem your vows if not it is a dishonor to you because you are not under compulsion to ever pledging anything at the spur of the moment.

I\’m sure by the time we put the few points raised here and other prevailing circumstances that hinders answers to prayers our relationship with God when we approach His thrown of mercy in prayers will be honourable. Thanks and Remain Blessed 🙏. ✍️ BlessingOnugha ❤️
