GENDER COMMISSIONER LAUDS IMO FIRST LADY OVER LARGESSE TO ORPHANAGES
Imo State Commissioner for Gender and Vulnerable Group Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu has lauded the wife of the State Governor, Mrs Chioma Uzodinma for remembering orphanages in the state in the distribution of palliatives from the state government.
Ugwu made this commendation while fielding questions from newsmen during the handing over of foodstuffs to registered motherless babies homes in the state, on monday, April 13th, as part of the state government measures to cushion effect of lockdown in the state due to the Corona Virus pandemic.
She said wife of the governor, through the approval of the Governor made sure registered opharnage homes in the state were not left out in the relief foodstuffs.
The commissioner described Her Excellency, Mrs. Uzodinma as a caring mother, with milk of human kindness who has been doing a lot in the background to make sure the administration of her husband succeeds, and that women and all vulnerable groups are well taken care of.
She prayed God to continue to bless, keep and protect the first family of the state and grant the Governor the wisdom, vision, strength and motivation to change the narratives of leadership in the state for better.
Contributing, the Director of Child Development in the ministry, Mr Ben Amaefule appreciated the commissioner for the able way she has been piloting the affairs of the ministry and also thanked her for diligently delivering the palliatives to the opharnage homes.
