SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN.

Mark 11:13-14,20-24

[13]And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
[14]And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
[20]And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
[21]And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
[22]And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
[23]For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
[24]Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Have you ever wondered what Jesus meant by saying \”Whoever says to this mountain be removed and be thrown into the sea and do not doubt in his heart  but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass…\”   Here it connotes the power of the tongue,    The power of life and death lies in the power of the Tongue\” The tongue of man carries  life and death and those who love it will eat his fruits thereof\”. ( Proverbs 18:21).  This means you can change your world by changing what you say with your tongue.

\”I tell you on that day of judgement people will give account for every careless world they speak. It was through spoken word that the world of creation comes into being, so what comes out of our mouths matters.

Mountains  are severally mentioned in the Bible because they dotted the lands scape where lots of significant  Bible stories were foretold.  Prayers, sacrifices and other supernatural events were often made and it symbolizes the powerful work of God Almighty and His existence to the knowledge of man.

Mountain represents an exalted state of our mind  where  plans may be perceived and  there is a state  of spiritual realization  of a structural being. Mountain also represents physical barrier,   a stature mighty and strong, very difficult to maneuver . It can be seen as challenges of life, like the walls of Jericho, a  demarcation that can hinder or stop us from getting to our set goals in life. Most times we consider these  mountains  insurmountable in our mind causing fear, anxiety and worries.

Jesus is advising us Today that we can say to that mountain be removed and cast to the sea and  it shall be so.  He said to his Disciples    \”And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayers believing ye shall receive\” (Matthew 2122).

Matt.17.20 – And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Has the vicititude of   life challenges hitten you so hard that you have  allowed the enemy, the accusers of  brethren to make you coil to a shelter you begin to think that prayers do not work any longer. Or you believe it is the will of God that you\’re experiencing what you\’re going through, or perhaps your past record has attracted devil\’s attack over you .       No!!  He  said    \”But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed\” (Isaiah 53:5). NIV.

While Jesus was  on earth, He warned his disciples that “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) Niv  We are in the world not being insulated from experiencing troubles and true testing of delays and traumatic situations in our lives.

In Psalm 46: 1-4  \”God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.  There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved…\”

Speaking to your mountain and declaring of the word of God according to the scriptures will bring peace and the assurance that God has heard and taken over your problems that\’s why He Said come to me those who are burden with a heavy laden for I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28.

Your word is as powerful as your faith level  though it may be as small as a mustard seed, say it all the same, it\’s better declared than to allow it remain inside you for with the mouth confession is made. ..   \”For with the heart is believed to righteousness; and with the mouth confession made to salvation\”. (Romans 10:10).

Since 3rd of November 2020 The RCCG   REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD declared 30 days fasting and praying and to me it has been refreshing and highly spiritually engaging. I Have actually seen the power of God in action due to the ability of declaring His word for the past 26 days with our mouths, it\’s been awesome. I am sure God is working with men to pull down a mighty wind of changes in this world particularly my country Nigeria. I believe there will be a conscious wave of certain force that will cause all the mountains of oppression, frustration  unwanton killings and denials to  be cast to the sea for some changes to  happen  in various quarters including families that are going through disturbing challenges in Jesus name
