ENDURANCE AND HOPE.

Romans 15:4-5 (ESV)

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus

The knowledge of the scriptures affects our attitude towards the present and the future. The more we read and meditate on the word of God, knowing the things He had done in years past and what He is doing presently the more confident we will build in our confidence in knowing God\’s Will for us.

\”But he that shall endure unto the end , the same shall be saved\” (Matthew 24:13)

According to the dictionary definition from Oxford Language, Endurance is: 1. The ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.\”she was close to the limit of her endurance\”. 2.The capacity of something to last or to withstand wear and tear.

At times we just have to put up enduring spirit and wait according to the scriptures says \”Wait on the Lord\”. He who must wait shall be patience and wait with Hope. We have the written word of God which teaches and taught us about endurance which is used in the bible to encourage us and that has given us hope for the future.

As we spend time in studying and meditating the word of God, we will find that the Holy Spirit will guide us , direct and grant unto us peace and the patience we need at the time we need it most to operate concerning all situations in our lives as they arise.

\”Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain\” And \”Every man that striveth for mastery is temperate in all things….\” (1Corinthians 9:24-25). KJV

According to Apostle Paul\’s letters to Corinthians, he taught them how to get a winning spirit by striving to master his temperament in other to obtain a good prize and to achieve this you must subject your body into discipline so that it may not be a distraction and a hindrance to the course you\’re pursuing.

The ability to endure an UNPLEASANT or DIFFICULT PROCESS or SITUATIONS without giving WAY. This ability actually calls for thorough obedience to God\’s plans and Will to us without our justification because at times due to some tough challenges in life you may want to justify some reasons for derailment.

The Bible is an inspired book filled with words of hope and strength. When you feel like giving up, turn to the Word of God to feel refreshed with endurance and will inspire us through whatever challenges we may face in life.

\”Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience\” (Colossians 1:11) NIV.

As we study and mediate on the word of God may it take deep root in our hearts to give us wisdom to have the Endurance and Hope we need to live a life that is pleasing in His Sight in Jesus name amen
