GAINING PERFECTION

Psalm 138:8 AMP.

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, endure forever—forsake not the works of Your own hands.

Our Christian walk is about surrendering ourselves to the will of God as He perfects us by making us more and more like Him. Perfection is a gradual process that we will only fully come into when we leave this earth and join God in heaven.

9 \”For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known\” (1Corinthians 13:9-12)

Christian life is not a jamboree, and is not what anyone shall claim I have known it all as such does not need room for improvement NO. You must get yourself learning and updating so that you gain hindsight.

Jesus told His disciples\”… MY FATHER HAS BEEN WORKING UNTIL NOW AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING\” John 5:17. We need to be up and doing, be intentional when it matters concerning the things of the Lord. Updating self and being inspired by His word being fervent daily

We need to be smart enough to admit, along with the apostle Paul, that we don\’t know it all.

It\’s not a sin not to know everything. We should not feel like we must have an answer for every question. God even said there are some things that are secret.

DEUTERONOMY 29:29 \”The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

God also indicates there are things in His Word we will only see if we search diligently and work at it, like we were digging for silver. So, we all need to remain humble. Humility always accompanies wisdom. There are much in the Bible that none of us yet knows completely. The book of proverbs adjourned us to treasure wisdom and expand our discerning spirit to help us comprehend the ways of the Lord.

\”My child, will you treasure my wisdom?
Then, and only then, will you acquire it.
And only if you accept my advice
and hide it within will you succeed.
2 So train your heart to listen when I speak
and open your spirit wide to expand your discernment—
then pass it on to your sons and daughters.
3 Yes, cry out for comprehension and intercede for insight.
4 For if you keep seeking it like a man would seek for sterling silver,
searching in hidden places for cherished treasure,
5 then you will discover the fear of the Lord
and find the true knowledge of God.
6 Wisdom is a gift from a generous God,
and every word he speaks is full of revelation
and becomes a fountain of understanding within you\”. (Proverbs 2:1-6).

These things are written to make us simply to remind us that we are ALL still learning. We don\’t know everything. So we should never forget that our faith should not rest in ourselves, but in the Living God and His Word.

Jesus christ promised that He would never leave us, so although we don\’t know everything He does but we can trust Him to help us in perfecting us in overcoming whatever we face and walk in victory at all times.

Remain Blessed, Shalom!
