Proverbs 10:17-21. NIV.
17 Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. 18 Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.. 19 When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. 20 The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value. 21 The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of sense.
It is profitable to be wise and walk in the counsel of the Lord. The words you speak and the advice you give will give life and restoration to those who are in need of it. When your words are based on the Word of God, you will be able to refresh the souls of many. But if your mind dwells on foolish, unfruitful things like gossip and foul speech, your words will not be profitable for anyone they won\’t even be profitable for yourself.
The scripture says there is a wisdom that comes only from God who is above and such wisdom is pure , peaceable and gentle, not borne out of hypocrisy or partiality. The righteous person bears a good seed and it\’s sown in peace
\”But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace\”. (James 3:17-18).
A good person sow the seeds of peace. Have the courage to stand up to evil and violence, to raise your voice to defend those that do not have a voice to raise, and to remember there is a thin line between attack and defense. Most times we want to play save in the presence of injustice so that we don\’t become victims. Some will get to the point of deceiving their listeners with lies to exonerate self from blames or attacks
We must be very careful so that our word will be inspiring meant to encourage and to build up. Let the words of your mouth be as sweet as honey that sweetens the soul and mends the broken bones. Know when to speak and when to restrain your mouth. Be proactive and intentional so that through your actions you are a faithful witness unto the Lord. For the lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of sense.
