BEING ROOTED IN GOD\’S LOVE

Ephesians 3:17-21 NIV.

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,. 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

It is important that you remain rooted in God\’s love. Remember that this is what your Christian life is based on in the first place. There is no life without God\’s love. May you also ensure that your faith is always in Christ, so that He may continue to dwell with you. As you focus on Christ, you will continuously be blown over by how far, how wide, how deep, and how great God\’s love is for you.

14 \”For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died. 15And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again\”. (2Corinthians 5:14-15).

The Love of Christ brought salvation to us who believes. His death reconciled us with God as such we can enjoy a restored relationship with God through Jesus. In verse 18 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

And it is the assurance we have that forgiveness of sin is available in Christ. Sin prevents us from having a relationship with God, but Jesus’ perfected every strained relationship with God through the sacrifice He made on the cross with His own Blood for atonement of our sin and this brought harmony to man\’s relationship with God.

You don\’t need to feel shy or afraid to proclaim His words to others too. Apostle paul told the Philippine brethren \”Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you\”.

You must have to do yourself that favour of remaining in Christ, is a personal decision not compelled by another person to Remain with Christ if you have genuinely chosen to fellow Him. He who puts his hands in a plow and look back is not worthy of His kingdom.

Allow your faith to be deep rooted so that nothing can come between you and your trust in God. \”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
