FALLING SHORT

\"\"
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 3:21-24. NCBV.

21 But God has a way to make people right with him without the law, and he has now shown us that way which the law and the prophets told us about. 22 God makes people right with himself through their faith in Jesus Christ. This is true for all who believe in Christ, because all people are the same: 23 Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard, 24 and all need to be made right with God by his grace, which is a free gift. They need to be made free from sin through Jesus Christ.

Falling short, is failing below an expected result. Not able to reach a particular level or fail to achieve something that you were trying to do. Jesus knows that our sin nature put us at a wrong side of the law as such have fallen below God\’s standard as the scripture says \”For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

The Bible teaches a distinct perspective. We are reminded that failure can play a vital role in our journey of faith. This can be a spiritual necessity. The Bible is filled with examples of people who could be considered failures ordinarily. But we see how God used their failures and flaws to teach them important lessons and allow them to grow spiritually.

Peter was one of those failures. Jesus warned that he would deny knowing Him three times. Confident in himself, Peter didn’t think this was possible. But he later denied Jesus as He had warned (Luke 22:34). But Jesus said, “Peter, before the rooster crows this day, you will say three times that you don’t know me” Peter was devastated, but Jesus didn’t reject him. Peter learned from this failure and became a dynamic leader, he did great exploit.

In Romans, Paul stated the principle that each of us has sinned. The Greek word means to miss the mark. In many ways, we all fall short and fail to hit the target. This truth is not meant to make us feel defeated but aware of our limits. Realizing that no one is perfect, as such we can turn to Jesus for help.

Have you ever fallen short? Made one mistake or more? Missed the mark? Or fallen below expectation? Never mind There\’s a way out just Commit these failures to Jesus and free yourself. It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. Let Him teach us. Learn to depend on His Spirit working through you.

PRAYER

My Lord Jesus Christ,You know everything about me. I confess how much I need You. Forgive my pride and my prejudices. I am grateful to you for another opportunity, Thank You for forgiving my sins. In Your name there\’s liberty, Help me to depend on you even when my feet slips, your victorious right hand will uphold me in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.

REFLECTION

For sin has given us a bad reputation and we have fallen short of God\’s standard. Therefore, we all have fallen short of His \”Glory\” because God\’s glory, or the glory of Himself and His kingdom, is what He shares with those who are in His family, His children. Our sin, though, keeps us from sharing in This glory. God makes people right with himself through their faith in Jesus Christ. This is true for all who believe in Christ, because all people are the same:
