THE WORD OF GOD IS LIFE.

Hebrew 4:12 NIV.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

In Philippians 2:16, Paul called it the “Word of Life.”, But In Hebrews 4:12, the writer says it is \”Powerful…\” While Peter says the word of God is \”Living\”. It is alive, it is a living thing! The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times Psalm 12:6.

The word of God is so powerful; it is able to reform minds, compel hearts, and transform lives. When you read the word of God, or come into constant contact with God, through prayer, your life will never remain in the same way. The word of God contains life, and as we become exposed to it, that life comes into contact with our hearts and we are changed.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:1-4.

Paul said “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord\’s.” The Good News is that personal Devotion to God in life is the way to live an honest and happy life. All the choices you make in your life should be made for the glory of His name and to His honour.

The word of God brings success according to the book of Joshua 1 :8 \”Always remember what is written in the Book of the Teachings. Study it day and night to be sure to obey everything that is written there. If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything\”.

Therefore you shall lay up these words of the Lord in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes so that you will not be deceived by any other word that\’s not of God.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass for he beholds himself, and goes out of his way, and straightway forget what manner of man he was. So it is more Blessed to hear the word of God which is WORD OF LIFE and allaign yourself to it.

PRAYER

Dear God, I am grateful for the transforming power of your Word. Were it not for you and your Word, Lord, my life would be a mess. Your word has saved me from the clutches of darkness, and has brought me into the light. For this, my God, I am truly grateful to you for your word is Life and I pray that You give me the grace to allaign myself to your word and obey In Jesus name I pray Amen.

REFLECTION

You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Deuteronomy 11:18.
