FAITH, KEY TO OPEN DOORS.

Hebrew 11:4-6

⁴ By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

⁵ By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, \”and was not found, because God had taken him\”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. ⁶But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The key word today is \”FAITH\” “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him\”. (HEBREWS 11:6).

Faith is very important in our accomplishment of any spiritual exploit in life. A sinner needs faith to be saved, sanctified and baptised in the Holy Spirit.

A sick person needs faith to believe that he can be healed and be made whole again without necessarily by his effort or input, but the blood of Jesus has been shed on the cross of Calvary for him and by the stripes of Jesus he is healed

The oppressed, to be delivered needs faith in trusting God that he will be saved and set free from whatever that has held him captive, the needy needs faith for provisions and the discouraged needs faith to move forward.

Faith achieves the impossible, the unattainable and the seemingly unaccomplishable.

What then is faith? It is trusting or believing the words of God and acting on His precepts, regardless of the circumstances.

Our passage today centres on two major men of faith who loves God and believes so much on God\’s providence that they considered giving back to God as a thing of joy to them so they gave without holding back.

Abel was a direct descendant of Adam. He offered a sacrifice unto the Lord. His sacrifice was therefore evaluated as a “more excellent sacrifice”. Enoch was another patriarch mentioned in this passage who pleased God. This earned him an automatic translation to heaven without seeing death! These two patriarchs did not have the Bible, a preacher or a counsellor; yet, by deliberate desire, they displayed their utter submission to God. Thus without such total submission to God and His word, it is impossible to do that which pleases God.

Faith means Forsaking all that you can see or what your own intelligence could declare and trust God with all your heart even when it seems impossible Trust Him still.

Faith makes us to literally stand on the word of God and unmoveably rely on the truth which the word of God stands for

Without faith, victory in life\’s vicissitudes will be unattainable, pleasing God and receiving anything from Him will be a foreclosed issue. As believers, we must always have faith in God if we want our prayers answered and our life’s battles won, it\’s in total submission to the word of God through faith. Faith is the currency of all transactions wih God and without it you can not do any business with God and succeed.
