Ephesians 6:10-28.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

To put on the whole armor of God for a child of God, what does it mean? For Apostle Paul used the armor of God in a metaphoric manner in reminding the Christains that in time of real spiritual battles what they are expected to do in other to overcome the Wiles of the devil, knowing quite well how trickish the devil is in manipulating the minds and corrupting it into believing the wrong impression.

The whole armor of God is the protection a Christian enjoys when you are spiritually alert and are aware of your right in Christ as a child of God. The whole armor of God a Christian is called to put on comprises of (A) The Belt Of Truth. (B) The Breast Plate Of Righteous. (C) The Gospel Of peace. (D) The Shield Of Faith. (E) The Helmet Of Salvation. (F) The Sword Of The Spirit. (G) Praying All The Time.

\”So stand strong with the belt of truth tied around your waist, and on your chest wear the protection of right living. On your feet wear the Good News of peace to help you stand strong. And also use the shield of faith with which you can stop all the burning arrows that come from the Evil One.
Accept God’s salvation as your helmet. And take the sword of the Spirit—that sword is the teaching of God\”. (Ephesians 6:14-27) ERV.
The armor of God is symbolical and reiterate how your faith can help to protect you from different kinds of spiritual attacks. Spiritual attacks are not physical combat with the devil that\’s why you might not see it with your physical eyes rather it becomes a struggle within yourself of which if you do not have the fortification which the armor of God provides, you may fall victim to the attacks.

Do you know that spiritual attacks could come When you\’re faced with temptation or yield to the ideas of sin. It can also surface as a result of having an inordinate feeling of God\’s words not being potent. It may also be through other evil forces which are normally caused by Satan and it\’s evil cohaust. In the book of Ephesians 6:12 Apostle Paul wrote concerning the spiritual struggles we go through in life

\” For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere\”. ( Ephesians 6:13). ABV

However if you symbolically put on the whole armor of God you can stand firm against these attacks and stand strong in your faith. All these things are made possible when you draw closer to God and make it a habit to search through the word of God and pray without ceasing.

When it seems as if you are being carried away with negative thoughts is time to pull yourself closer to The word of God read the versions that may lift your spirit up and encourage you. When you\’re face with some difficulty or some challenges is not the time to run to man because arm of flesh may fail you, it\’s time to run to God with a contrite heart and broken spirit

\”My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise\”. (Psalm 51:17) ABV.
