WHEN IT SEEMS ALL HOPE IS GONE.

Job 10:1-9 (NKJV).

My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. 2. I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me. 3. Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked? 4. Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth? 5. Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man\’s days, 6. That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin? 7. Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand. 8. Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. 9. Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

The story of Job is a very biblical story that is well known by every Christain or every bible scholar. Job we all know how he was afflicted by Satan though haven tried severally to attack job but could not succeed because of the hedges built around him by God until that fateful day when God permitted Satan by taking away the hedges around job and all that he had. (Job 1:8-12).

According to our bible reading, Job began to wallow in self pity and self righteousness due to the pains of his afflictions. Our baffling afflictions, pains and trials at times lures us into the feeling of pity or having the presumption that we are attacked by some sort of diabolical means and at this point we begin to keep track of life\’s injustice and blaming party, we may in that frustration and confusion blame God too for our suffering. Some may claim is God\’s will for such to happen.

Losing hope is probably one of the most dangerous things that could happen to us, whether we are believers or not. God knows this so well that He sent His one and only begotten Son so that we could always have hope – hope for forgiveness, for redemption, for reconciliation with God for our salvation. Truth be told, if Our Father Lord didn\’t give His Son Jesus Christ, we are utterly helpless and hopeless to save ourselves from our sin and misfortune.
The Bible tells us that \”Christ in [us] is the hope of glory.\” Because we have Christ in ourselves, we have this hope that no one or nothing can ever take away. Yet despite this, some of us face difficult situations where we feel hopeless. In that case, we must be encouraged to know that in Him, you can have hope no matter what comes your way.

Have you ever got to that point in life where you think you have reached your wits end or you have come to the end of road? If the answer is in the affermative It means you know how it feels to be hopeless. However can that be the end of life for one? NO!!!!!.

When it got to that point where you think nothing seems to work all you need do perhaps patiently puase and do self appraisal, may be God wants to draw your attention to a crucial matter or He wants to teach you a very important lesson in life which may take you to next level in life. All you need do is wait upon the Lord prayerfully with patient.

When facing such trial develop endurance. Endurance is not a common quality that is possess by everyone. Many people lack the long time commitment, caring and willingness that are vital to sticking with a task against odds. We must learn how to endure hardship and be honest to ask yourself \”what can I learn from this and how can this help me to grow?\” Rather than \”who is doing this to me and how do I get back at the person?\”.

In this the psalmist say I will say of the LORD
[9]“O God my Rock,” I cry, “why have you forsaken me? Why must I suffer these attacks from my enemies?”
[10]Their taunts pierce me like a fatal wound; again and again they scoff, “Where is that God of yours?”
[11]But, O my soul, don’t be discouraged. Don’t be upset. Expect God to act! For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason to praise him for all that he will do. He is my help! He is my God! (Psalm 42:9-12).

It is good to strongly fix your eyes in the Lord and hope on him and encourage your self that it shall be well. Stop allowing friends to feast on your challenges because some of them may tell you something that may make you wanting to abuse God including your family members. Remember Job\’s wife once told him \”curse God and die and stop your show of integrity\” (Job 2:9).

When Paul and his co travelers were faced with storm; he reminded them that it would have paid them if they had listened to his warning that the danger they suffered would had been averted instead of the lost they inquired in Acts 27:20-25
[20]The terrible storm raged unabated many days, until at last all hope was gone.
[21]No one had eaten for a long time, but finally Paul called the crew together and said, “Men, you should have listened to me in the first place and not left Fair Havens—you would have avoided all this injury and loss!
[22]But cheer up! Not one of us will lose our lives, even though the ship will go down.
[23]“For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me
[24]and said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul—for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God has granted your request and will save the lives of all those sailing with you.’
[25]So take courage! For I believe God! It will be just as he said!

\”But cheer up! Not one of us will lose our lives, even though the ship will go down\”. Paul cheered them up telling them about God spearing their lives which is more valuable than every bit of things that may have lost in the storm of hopelessness.

Yes the storm of life may rage as if it will not stop do not fright, it must go down. In 2018 the statistics of homicide and sucide toppled why? because people allowed hopelessness to eat deep into their conscience that they did not have a place for God as such life became valueless to them.

Are you in the state of dispire? Is it because you feel you have reached the end of the road. Cheer up help is on the way. Infact you are close to your testimony, tie the nut there and hang on. Is not over yet, you\’re just a step to your breakthroughs Yeah! You may think I don\’t know what I\’m saying or I can\’t understand, trust me I do understand because I was once in that class before.

Honestly, I passed through various classes of hopelessness until I taught myself endurance and patiently waiting on God\’s time.

Now let me blow your head. Do you know the day I fail into the hands of money doublers around June 2015; I was fasting and praying that very day as I was going to the mechanic work shop where I parked my car for repairs after days of being there for me to raise the money for the mechanic to start work. But that eventful day as God may have it I was able to raised small amount to deposit for mechanic to commence on the repairs.

Hmmmmm! The cab I entered; I don\’t know the 3 Passengers are into money tricks. Just few minutes after my settling down in the taxi. The driver started scolding one of the passengers that he was a wicked crook instead of telling him that what he was carrying was Ghana must go bag full of dollars he told him another thing which would have putting him in trouble with the police at the check point therefore he will be taking him where he will be locked up and be detained for life. The man started pleading and begged me to intervane. Thinking it was true the driver said that the only option was for us to go some where to share the dollars which the man agreed.

My brethren, I forgot where I was going to simply because I heard we,5 of us are going to share one hundred thousand dollars according to the driver because I thought God has answered my prayers because i was at the verge of giving up due to pressure of financial needs.

I was foolish not to read in between the lines, God forbid that l go through such experience Do you know where we landed haven driven for hours? Honestly I have never been that afraid, I nearly fainted when I don\’t even know exactly where we were going to even when I protested about the lonely bushy part the only female passenger shouted me down I was shocked, I then came into realization that I was in for what I cannot help myself than to surrender myself to God and allow Him do what I don\’t even know how He will do it so I prayed in my heart I say God please do not consider my foolish ways and help me come out of this mess unharmed and God heard me. PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME, HALLELUJAH!!

Let me not bore you with long story we ended in an isolated place, a shrine as I was told that the money needs cleansing to avert any cusre affecting us . As we were waiting outside I just do not Know where I got the boldness I had, l told them I Will not go in to the hut in our argument a man with White robe came out and quitened us and ushered us in, Jesus is Lord what I saw can only be imagine by you.

Thank God for His mercies. God showed Himself strong on my behalf. Already I become alert in my spirit. When he said we should bring out all the money in our possession I brought the only five thousand naira with me funny though others did not bring and the man collected it and ask how much I had in the bank. I paused, in my mind I said I will mention any amount so that I will not be harmed then I said two hundred thousand naira he said was it the only account I said yes.

those criminals left me with the evil man. I was bold enough to introduced my real person to him and who my husband is and told him that i will go out to call police to storm his place. He shouted if I don\’t leave his place he will deal with me, then I told him God is already dealing with him and he shouted I should not call God again don\’t I know that I had gone into agreement with the devil by giving my money in his shrine as such the money is for devil I said not my money because before I go he must give me my money just five thousand naira I wanted to pay for my car repairs. Infact immediately I stepped out I saw people moving around I quickly left and starting calling my husband. It was when he noticed my talking on the phone he rushed towards me dipped his hands in his breast pucket brought out my money and gave it back to me.

While standing out there an okada (cyclist) was passing he flagged him down and ask him to take me where I will get a bus to owerri. I thank God for saving me despite my foolishness. When I came back home I was highly ashamed of self and I repented of my sin and rededicated my life back to God in repentance. Do you know that not up to 7 days I received my new appointment my oh mine, I would have fallen into the devil\’s pit and rot there just because of hopeless situation which is but for a while. God forbid!

When it seems like nothing is working out for you or you are at the verge of quitting due to hopelessness please wait unto the Lord, Job said in job 13:15

\”Though He slay me I will wait upon the Lord…\” In job 14 :14 he said \”….All the days of my appointed time I will wait till my change comes\”.

You have to wait until there is a positve change be determined not to quit for change is at sight though it may delay still wait for Him, He will not tarry. God\’s timing is not like man s timing, His timing is better than what you plan for yourself only be patient he will surely do it once He has promised. Do not be discouraged. You will be glad and rejoice in His doings at last 🙏. Please remember to drop a comment. Thanks and be blessed ✍️ BlessingOnugha ❤️
