TRANSFORMED INTO HIS LIKENESS.

2 Corinthians 3:16-17.

16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord the veil is taken away
17 Now the Lord is the spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom

18 And we , who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord\’s glory are being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is the spirit

The Lord is spirit those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth. Verse 16 of our reading today says \”But whenever anyone turns to the Lord the veil is taken away\”.

The pertinent thing here is being able to shun sin and come to the acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal saviour who will wash away your sin and learn of Him. And you begin to develop a relationship with Him steadily. As a child of God who desire to grow and be in likeness with Christ Jesus shall learn how to improve in your spiritual walk with God progressively.

Unfortunately, we tend to backslide sometimes due to circumstances that may frustrate our spiritual walk because we do not understand the workings of the Lord . Attimes it becomes difficult to overcome sinful habites and practices which may lead to unstable spiritual growth and the temptation to fail backward instead of failing forward to boldly take another step forward by looking up to Jesus as our Author and the finisher of our faith.

Luke 9:62 Jesus replied and said \”No one puts his hands to the plough and looks back is fit for the services in the kingdom of God\”.

\”And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in for God is able to graft them in again\” (Romans11:23) Paul told the Roman Christians that he was surely of the known that God works for the good of them who loves him and who are called according to His purpose and those whom he acknowledged He also predestined them to be in conformity to the LIKENESS of His Son Jesus Christ. Romans 8:28-29.

To be transformed into His likeness you must be in conformity with his son. In the book of John 8:31-32
[31]Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
[32]And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

May God grant us His grace to remain steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the works of the Lord doing more than enough in the services of the Lord knowing that our toils shall not be in vain in Jesus name amen
