GOD’S WORD CANNOT FAIL.

ROMANS 9:6-9 (AMPC).

[6] However, it is not as though God’s Word had failed [coming to nothing]. For it is not everybody who is a descendant of Jacob (Israel) who belongs to [the true] Israel.
[7] And they are not all the children of Abraham because they are by blood his descendants. No, [the promise was] Your descendants will be called and counted through the line of Isaac [though Abraham had an older son].
[8] That is to say, it is not the children of the body [of Abraham] who are made God’s children, but it is the offspring to whom the promise applies that shall be counted [as Abraham’s true] descendants.
[9] For this is what the promise said, About this time [next year] will I return and Sarah shall have a son.

Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans brethren assuring them that when God promised He backed it up with His word, He does not fail in His promises. No matter how long it tarries and what people might feel about it once He promised it will surely come to fulfillment. To conclude he says “Whoever believes in Him shall not be put to shame”

According to our verse taken from Romans 9 :6, God’s word to Abraham is His covenant promised to Abraham’s seed and not just the biological descendants of Abraham are the Only children of Abraham to partake in the blessings but those who are of faith and are the Children of promise as well as those who Trust in the Lord and have chosen Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and saviour. “Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham”. (Galatians 3:7).

King David was another man who realized that people will fail you, that the trust of a man is a snare, our closest friend will break his promises and fail short even in his best capacity “O give us help against the adversary, for vain (ineffectual and to no purpose) is the help of man” (Psalms 60:11) AMPC.

When David had seen the vulnerability of man and his promises, he cast his cares upon the Lord and trusted in God’s help and ability for all his battles and he proclaimed in psalm 119:89-90

“Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in Heaven. Thy Faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth and abideth” .

Psalms 19:7-9 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

The word of God has power on its own to accomplish the very thing that it says it will do “For He spake and it was done He commanded and it stoodfast” psalm33:9.

God’s word cannot fail but our unbelief can prevent its fulfillment in our lives. The word of God is true and it cannot lie, therefore are several prophecies in the Bible times about God’s promises and spoken Words those are clear indications and prove of the powerful word of God which manifested as it was prophesied by his prophets and judges.

The word of God is wise and filled with insight; we must rely on the word of God not on the word of man for our deliverance for we are Children of Faith. Casting all our cares and burdens upon Him for His word shall prevail and not fail
