HEBREW 12:14-15.
12:14 Pursue peace with all people , and holiness , without which no one shall see the Lord.
12:15 Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness spring up cause trouble , and by this many become defiled.
The Bible enjoys us all as Christians to follow peace with all mankind and Holiness without which it will not be possible to see God.
There are many reasons why we ought to pursue peace with our fellow human being in all our dealings.
* It is in obedient with God’s commandment to live peaceably with all men.
* The word of God teaches that vengers belongs to God, it is not good for us to avenge for ourselves rather we should endeavor to promote peace and harmony even when we are wronged
“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath for it is written “Vengeance is mine , I will repay” Says The Lord” (Romans 12:19).
* We must learn to have peace with your self and enjoy peace of mind by not allowing injurious thought to inhibit in your mind towards others by so doing it may encourage frictions among brethren, quarrels and bitterness to encroach inside your thought thereby intriger health impending issues to endanger your health.
* In the world wrecked by Hostility, Hardheartedness and rancor Christians should learn to shine as Light to people around by showing good example for the Bible says we are light of the world. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven\” (Matthew 5:14-16).
* When we follow peace with all men despite the height of provocation people around us will be encouraged and inspired to do likewise. \”Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men\”. (Romans 12:17-18)
Jesus compares His followers to Light in Matthew 5:14 meaning wherever they go. You’re not expected to be hidden you must lighten up the place by your doings and actions in growing relationship daily following the steps Jesus put in practice while in the world with His Disciples. Therefore we have to partner with Him in the spread of the truth and by making peace with all men in every circumstances.
As His Ambassadors, we ought to shine before others even in the face of provocation living a life of Active Faith not passive one by making sure we put our light in the right stand not hidden for peace to reign and for God to be glorified. Amen
