THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS

2Chronicles 20:15 NKJV

  1. And he said, \”Hearken ye, all Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou King Jehoshaphat! Thus saith the LORD unto you: `Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God\’s.

If the battle of life seems too big and fierce to fight by yourself leave it with God for His name is MIGHTY MAN OF BATTLES. In Isaiah 3:2 He is said “The mighty man and the man of war,The judge and the prophet,And the diviner and the elder;…” (Isaiah 3 :2)

A lot of times, we find ourselves getting discouraged may be because of many concerns in our lives that don’t seems to go down well with us. We often put in our best approach including the very best tactics, perhaps do some thing which we heard or read about others do when faced with similar challenges, given out our hardest push yet it appears tough. We may end up crying ourselves to sleep, face rejection, feeling of disillusioned and hopelessness and frightened yet you woke up to see your challenges starring at your face

What can we do in such situations?

Have you tried bringing it before God because He says “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. (Matthew 11:28, ESV)

Have you called upon God for He says “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced and hidden which you do not know(do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand) (Jeremiah 33:3) AMP.

Did you tried taking it to man to seek the approval of men mostly those of your class distinct or age bracket like king Rehoboam did when the people of Israel met him and asked him to lighten the burden of forced labor which his father king Solomon imposed on them. That if he will do such they will in turn serve him. But he promised to get back to them, he went to the wise men who advised his father Solomon as the king to seek counsel and he was advised appropriately but he rejected their counsel because he does not like their advice. He then seek the advice of his friends who were younger, of his own age group who advised him wrongly by asking him to lord it over the people and scar them by boasting that “My little finger is thicker than my father’s loins; Now whereas my father laid on you a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke. My father discipline you with whips but I will discipline you with scorpions”. Rehoboam decided to heed to the advice of his younger friends because it sooths and massages his ego. (Please Read 2 Chronicles 10:5-11).

Do you think solutions to your problems lies on Witch doctors and sorcery like saul consulted a medium and paid the price. (1Samuel 28:8-13).

1 Samuel 28:8 So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night he and two men went to the woman. \”Consult a spirit for me,\” he said, \”and bring up for me the one I name.\”
1 Samuel 28:9 But the woman said to him, \”Surely you know what Saul has done. He has cut off the mediums and spiritists from the land. Why have you set a trap for my life to bring about my death?\”
1 Samuel 28:10 Saul swore to her by the LORD, \”As surely as the LORD lives, you will not be punished for this.\”
1 Samuel 28:11 Then the woman asked, \”Whom shall I bring up for you?\” \”Bring up Samuel,\” he said.
1 Samuel 28:12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out at the top of her voice and said to Saul, \”Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!\”
1 Samuel 28:13 The king said to her, \”Don’t be afraid. What do you see?\” The woman said, \”I see a ghostly figure coming up out of the earth.\”

Yes! In Time Of Trouble Who Do You Run To?

The scriptures says in Jeremiah 17:5 and 7-8 (NIV)

Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the LORD says: \”Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
Jeremiah 17:7 \”But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
Jeremiah 17:8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.\”

Yes!! God cares for you, He knows all about your tears and pains, He knows all your struggles that is why it is wise to surrender all those battles to Him who is called a Man of War Himself to battle all your battles for no battle is great or small before Him for He knows how best to deal with them. Entrust all your battles and struggles to him to handle for by strength no man can succeed and wisdom resides in Him and for with God all things are possible.

Do not be discouraged for He is your Lord will never forsake you.
