Luke 2:9-14
Luke 2:9-14 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Is Christmas Today, thank God for the Holidays, thank God for all the wrapped Gifts, for so much to drink and eat, thank God for the New dresses and other accessories that we showcase during the Christmas and other activities lined up to celebrate Christmas. But Is That All? Is it the reason for the NEW BORN KING?
Does Christmas really meant for some of those unnecessary stress we indulged in during that period or Is it supposed to be centered on Christ Jesus whose Birthday we are Celebrating and Rejoicing? May be not merely on ourselves which has always been the case.
\”Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord\”. (Luke 2:11) NIV. According to the Scripture, A SAVIOUR is born, HE IS THE MESSIAH, and THE LORD. It is that good news of Good Tidings Of Great Joy To The People that we are Celebrating, His Birth has brought life back to us He came that we may enjoy an abundant life \”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full\”.(John 10:10)
He came to save us from our sinful nature \”And She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus for He shall save His people from their Sins\” (Matthew 1:21)
He is the Messiah, the Son of God \”Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”. (Matthew 16:16).
These and many more of which our Savior and Lord Represents are the reasons for our Celebrating His Birthday Today. I know for sure John 3:16 has been the easiest and the most bible Quote easily remembered by most Christians \”FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE\”. Yes!! Giving which our God examplified has taken the center stage of Christmas to make us lose sight in the essence of the reason why He was born and which we celebrate as Christmas.
We should remember that part of all the gift should also go for the Lord. How? How is your relationship with Him because you can\’t give gift to someone you can\’t reach. How much of Him is in you by the way you react and treat others. How much love do you have for others. I think personally this is also a time of Reflection, righting all our wrongs, Reviewing our life styles and Restrategize and plan ahead on how to better our relationship with Him incase where we must have fallen short of His glory. And find a better way of how to serve Him better in obedience and do His will.
Let us Celebrate Today and Rejoice in the Good News Of The Birth Of Jesus Christ, knowing that the best is Come and is here to stay. May God\’s never ending Love and Amazing Grace which is in Christ Jesus overflow in your life Amen
I Love You All, May you Enjoy Your Christmas Celebration 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year Amen.
