KEEP ON KEEPING ON

Matthew 7:7-8 NLT.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for, keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks,finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Jesus was teaching His disciples how to maintain the spirit of persistence and perseverance when asking anything from God. He declared to them that in asking they have to ask until it is given to them and in seeking you must persistently seek to find that which you\’re seeking for not relenting and for a door to be opened unto you, you must stubbornly knock hard. These are good principles of a committed spirit of an OVERCOMER.

People often give up after a few half-heartedly efforts vested in pursuing a cause, they are quick to conclude [it\’s not the Will of God for me] forgetting that \”By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence\”. 2Peter 1:3.

We have to be patient, To trust God wholeheartedly takes Faith, Focus , And Follow-Through. The scripture says \”But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him\”. (Hebrew 11:6) NKJV.

Don\’t give up on your efforts, you have to seek God\’s favour diligently for there is a reward to them that diligently seek Him. In whatever you have chosen to pursue, continue to ask, seek for knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding on how best to go about it and also trust in your self and believe that you can do it , do not write yourself off. \”I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. (Philippines 4:13) AMP.

Don\’t allow the spirit of Grasshopper to set in to discourage you. Don\’t look at every attack as a giant. To kill the giant in front of you at times needs fighting from unconventional means, employing small tricks that are not a general norm but are equally effective. It needs the likes of Caleb to quieten the majority voices, is not in all cases that majority opinion carries the vote. It is a matter of thinking outside the box at times that you will standout

Such is the case of the Israelites. Over 600,000 Israelites were delivered from the captivity in Egypt and wandered for years in the wilderness anticipating going into the Promised Land as was foretold them which the Bible describes as flowing with milk and honey. They got on the southern edge of the Promised Land, and they got a glimpse of this land and its inhabitants. They sent spies into the land to check it out and bring report to them. But were disappointed by the reports of the majority who sees themselves as grasshoppers and were intimidated by the sizes of what they saw

\”Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.”

30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”. (Numbers 13:26-33).

The perception in our minds sometimes trick us in believing that it is not possible to get a thing done more so when you want to justify why you shouldn\’t keep on asking, or knocking. You think you have asked or seek enough, No use doing the same thing on and on again without anything to show for it, that\’s spirit of Despondency.

Do not lose hope, keep pushing until the wall gives way. It may not be as easy said but it seems easier the more you try. Do not discourage yourself even when nothing seems to correspond with all your efforts provided it\’s channeled properly, it\’s a matter of time. Some people quit at the verge of their miracle Do not get dejected hold on to your goals and dreams For with God All thing is possible. Try and put in your best approach then let God be the final arbiter. Apostle Paul said \”I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow\”. (1Corinthians 3:6).
