GOOD TREASURE OF THE HEART.

Matthew 12:35-37 KJV.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

The Bible considers the heart as the seat of life and strength. This means the mind, soul, spirit of anyone is entirely an emotional nature and for knowledge and understanding.

The heart is the locus of physical and Spiritual being, it represents the central wisdom as opposed to the head wisdom which is for reasoning but compassion and understanding of life giving complex issues lies within the heart. The heart is a symbol of love often refers to as the center for wisdom and emotion, It\’s also synonymous to affection.

\”And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (Roman 1:28).

The mind retains knowledge and understanding. While the heart is believed to relates to emotional sentiment such as Love, Kindness, Affection, Caring and such likes. The mind is associated with Capacities, Logic Rational, Educational Knowledge, Judgement And others.

Jesus told His Disciples :“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me\” (John 14:1). Meaning your heart shouldn\’t give in to worries in time of trouble. Be strong in the Lord and believe in His capability to help you.

The heart retains intellect that was why the bible says \”As a man thinks in his heart so he is. Proverbs 23:7

The book of Hebrew averse that the heart is designed for \”The Thought and Intents\” Hebrew 4:12.

Our bible reading today in verse 35 of Matthew 12 Good people have good things in their hearts, and so they say good things. But evil people have evil in their hearts, so they say evil things. The good treasure of the heart will bring forth that which is good. \”For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also\”. (Matthew 6:21).

Before you give someone your heart you must first determine the condition of the person\’s heart because every good seed you sow you must also invest your heart on such to be successful. No wonder the scripture says that \”The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field\”. Matthew 13:45.

What have you treasured, Is it good to behold? Are they of good report? ; Can there be any virtue, and if there be any praise on them . The scripture says we should think on those things.

\”Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things..\” (Philippines 4:8)

\”Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will\”. (Romans 12:2) NIV.

We must endeavor to keep our heart free from every form of pollution, any thought that may hinder good reasoning must not be allowed to inhibit in our heart so that it may help us bear good treasures of the heart.

Remain Blessed. Shalom.
