Matthew 9:9-13. NKJV.
9 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.
10 Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. He came to heal the sick. He didn\’t come for those who think they are righteous in their own eye and as such do not have need for our saviour. We all need a saviour and Jesus is the only one who can save and redeemed us from sin. Therefore He is calling us for a repentance as you Choose the LORD, and choose to serve Him. You will be saved.
The coming of Jesus Christ brought Love, Hope and Salvation for the People Christmas season is here again and Christmas season is all about the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:6-7). NIV.
The purpose of His birth was through His birth we have overcomed spiritual trials and battles and have obtained victories over satanic influences. He then restore all things and brought orderliness to the world of sin.
We must first of all be reborn as little children, and we must learn what is evil and false, and also what is good and true. For without knowledge we cannot be filled with anything good. \”My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children\”. (Hosea 4:6).
We are indeed born of our parents as a person, but we do not truly become a person until we are reborn of the Lord. Spiritually speaking, life is what makes us to be people. It is what distinguishes us from animals. It is this spiritual conception and birth that is meant by conceptions and births that are mentioned according to the Scriptures.
Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration.
His birth which is a start point for His coming is one and for the same purpose God sent Him in form of man to rescue all people from death caused by sin. The Soul that sins dies. He came to take our place for He was made poor that through His poverty we become rich, Reconciling men back to God that we may enjoy a better life, life of purpose.
As we celebrate this season\’s Christmas we must reflect more about Jesus Christ and His purpose for coming and the benefits for mankind and emulate Him. Apostle Paul advised the Philippines brethren saying to them that in your relationship with one another let the same mind set that was in Jesus be in you. \”Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] (Philippines 2:5). AMP.
