Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT.
Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
Each day We are faced with decisions to make on our life\’s journey. Most of these decisions are easy to make since they involve matters of right and wrong. Even if doing right is not easy, we know that the proper decision is to do the right thing. However, there are times when knowing what the right choice is isn’t obvious. And there are lots of days that we are faced with more difficulty in making decisions that make real sense until you fall by the wayside and perhaps come back to senses.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5-6) NKJV.
\”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.\” What the book of James is suggesting here is that God doesn\’t make decisions for us, though, He gives us the gift of free Will so that we can make decisions and choose to do what we desires on our own freely.
HOWEVER, SEEK GOD\’S COUNSEL THROUGH HIS WORD By simply Talk to God and ask Him to show you His will and read your Bible to know the mindset of God about such as you have decided. These things must be connected to making a wise and godly decision. God will NEVER, EVER,ask you to make a decision that goes against His words.
Making godly Decisions demands wisdom and discipline.
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise wins souls. Proverbs 11:30
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:6. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23.
PRAYER
God in heaven we thank you for the power to make decisions granted unto us. We pray for wisdom to choose aright help us to be faithful and submissive to your Will in Jesus name amen.
REFLECTION
All wisdom comes from the LORD, so do common sense and understanding. Because the Lord gives wisdom and out of his mouth comes prudence and knowledge. We must align our ways to acknowledge Him so that He will direct our paths.
