Proverbs 10:21. NIV.
The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of sense.
It is profitable to be wise and walk in the counsel of the Lord. The words you speak and the advice you give will give life and restoration to those who are in need of it. When your words are based on the Word of God, you will be able to refresh the souls of many. But if your mind dwells on foolish, unfruitful things like gossip and foul speech, your words will not be profitable for anyone – they won’t even be profitable for yourself.
But Jesus answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4) Here we can see that the words that proceeds out of the mouth of God nourishes us like a well balanced diet. This indicates that the Bible is not only for life-imparting but also for nourishing. When you teach others the words that comes from the Bible is a way to nourish their souls and body.
words are powerful weapons that can inspire or destroy someone. The scripture says “For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body”. (James 3:2). Yes I know There are times when we stumble in the use of uncontrollable words or unrestrained words, instead of using faith-building words. It does happens at times; no one is perfect, But that is no excuse. The important question is, do we repent for speaking those words or continue unrestrained? Do we seek forgiveness? Will we attempt to control what we say, or we will simply continue to speak with an untamed tongue because we feel oh we would finish him or her just to destroy that person’s reputation that’s an unholy act yet we don’t even give it a thought.
A word rightly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. The bible says in Proverbs 15:1-2. A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.
The word that comes out of your month is very important and must be checkmate because like bullet the moment it is released from the catchier no coming back it must carry out its purpose. We must endeavor to bridle our tongue as Apostle James advices so that we can have control over our entire body For Death and Life are in the power of the tongue And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21.
