Luke 7 :11-15 (GNB)
11 Soon afterward[a] Jesus went to a town named Nain, accompanied by his disciples and a large crowd. 12 Just as he arrived at the gate of the town, a funeral procession was coming out. The dead man was the only son of a woman who was a widow, and a large crowd from the town was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, his heart was filled with pity for her, and he said to her, “Don\’t cry.” 14 Then he walked over and touched the coffin, and the men carrying it stopped. Jesus said, “Young man! Get up, I tell you!” 15 The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
When Jesus was passing through and He visited a city called Nain with His disciples and many crowd followed Him as He was approaching the city gate he observed a burial procession concerning the death of a young man many people followed in procession yelling and weeping with sorrows deep down their heart.
He observed a huge funeral procession in Nain. The entire town was present. He observed the young men and women weeping. He observed the pastors and apostles weeping. He observed the elders weeping. He observed the fathers weeping. He observed the children weeping. Everyone weeping with deep sorrows then He stopped to enquire why this kind of concerns and sorrows deep down, and he was told that the young boy was the only child of the mother.
Then when He saw the child\’s mother The bible recorded that he had compassion on her and immediately raised her son from the dead. It was the cry of a mother that moved the Heart of God.
Still today, Mothers who cry before the Lord for their families, for their marriages, for their homes, for their spouses move the Heart of God. When Mothers stop praying, their families (especially their children) begin to face trouble and they begin to slack in performance.
Satan gets a foothold and starts to destroy the home, yet when they return to their rightful place as the anchor of the home, demonic strongholds get demolished and rendered impotent.
God\’s role in the protection of His Children and His loving cares over them is compared to that of a Mother. As a Mother protects, upholds and defends her children, so does God also protect us under the shadow of His Wings . We find refuge there and can hide there until the danger that hovers around will be over.
A mother\’s role is so vital that a father cannot get his prayers answered if he dishonours/ disrespects her, in 1Peter 3:7 \”Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding giving honour to the wife as to the weaker vessel and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered\”.
Because, of this favour over mothers, they are also the most attacked persons in the home. The devil is terrified of Mothers, yet the Lord has putting inside Mothers grace and resilience to overcome any situation.
Today, As the woman of the home, consider yourself blessed. Consider yourself highly favoured and consider yourself dangerous when you pray, because the life wire of your family has been installed in your hands, you most keep the candle burning at all times so that your adversary, the devil your enemy will not cspitalize on your weakness and your ignorance.
