REJOICE ALWAYS IN YOUR SPIRIT.

Romand 14:17 (AMB).

[After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Philippians 4:4-6.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!

5 Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].

6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

The ordinary dictionary meaning of rejoice is to feel or show great joy or delight. I decided to write on the topic REJOICE ALWAYS IN YOUR SPIRIT because I know what a Merry Heart is. According to Proverbs 17:22 says

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones”.

Learn to be in a high spirit always because it will cheer you up at all times whether things are good or bad be in the habit of smiling and cheering, putting up a face that will attract people to you not repel people around you. In other words a man who clearly show continuous sadness cannot rejoice in his spirit and the Bible says \”a broken spirit dried the bones\”.

Do you know that there are people who are in the habit of always being sad, they finds it very hard to smile. As a matter of fact, being melancholic all year-round is not a Christian virtue. And such a person will be very difficult to please or to stay around with, it will be very boring.

“My joy always abounds, My joy always abounds Sorrow belongs to the camp of the devil; My joy always abounds!” Is a song that reassures your spirit and want to keep it in check as a Christian.

The angels who announced the birth of our Lord brought joy from heaven to our sorrow-ridden earth. From the abundance of joy in heaven, they proclaimed joy to the world. Only those who are joyful can be comfortable in heaven; melancholic people will not fit in there. Our Lord wants us to be joyous irrespective of what the situation is around us, because our joy is not derive from what is happening in the world. For this reason, in John 16:22-24, He said to us:

“And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

One lesson I would like to draw your attention to in this scripture is that Jesus Christ knows what heaven is like, and He wants us to have a taste of heaven here on earth. Unfortunately, some people specialise in making other people sad by their wicked acts, or through diabolical means such as witchcraft, sorcery and other forms of spiritual wickedness in high places. They must be pitied because unfortunately, they can never know joy in this world, neither will there be a place for them in the kingdom of God.

If you are currently living in sorrow, the Lord wants to bring you out of it before a broken spirit sends you to an early grave God wants your joy to be full, and that’s why He said you should ask Him in faith for whatever you need. The joy we possess as Christians comes from the joy of our salvation. We must guard this jealously and pray for its restoration whenever we err

We can learn to be joyful by bringing joy to others, and when you put smiles on the faces of people, you will also smile. Happiness is not far from those who make others happy, and joy symbolise the presence of the Spirit of God in an individual. When a man do not fear God or have an experience of His presence in his life, he is always agitated, very irretated at a slightest provocation.

I pray that you receive abundant grace to live a life of joy and rejoicing in the Lord always starting from today in Jesus’ Name 🙏

Today again I am celebrating my precious bundle of joy, a special gift from God.
