GROWING IN FAITH.

2PETER 1:2-10 (NKJV).

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
-2 Peter 1 : 2

as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
-2 Peter 1 : 3

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
-2 Peter 1 : 4

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
-2 Peter 1 : 5

to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
-2 Peter 1 : 6

to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
-2 Peter 1 : 7

For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-2 Peter 1 : 8

For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
-2 Peter 1 : 9

Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
-2 Peter 1 : 10.

Growing in Faith shows spiritual maturity through acquiring traning and exercising our spirit man by updating our inner mind in the word of God. For one to exhibit spiritual maturity, it suggests how much connected one is to the knowledge of who God is and His word. Measuring maturity in the things of the Lord is based on your willingness to obey the word of God and in doing His Commandments.

“Christ has bless us with every spiritual blessings in heavenly realm because we are united with Christ” Ephesians 1:3 . Christ is blessing us with every spiritual blessing means in Him only we can find perfection and enjoy all the benefits of knowing God.

Much has been said concerning faith in the scriptures, Jesus once admonished His disciples about having faith like a mustard seed in Matthew 17:20

Matthew 17:20 And he says to them, Because of your little faith: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, be moved from this place to that; and it will be moved; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Jesus was not condemning His disciples for not having faith at all rather He conjure them to start with such a tiny faith which will be very important to help them know how to face their challenges no matter the size of challenges they face daily May be by the time they start handling issues based on their trust and faith in God they may graduate to ordering the mountainous problem to give way and be cast to yonder and it will be solved according to their word.

Hebrew 11:1-2 “Faith is a confidence that what we hope for will actual happen, it gives us the assurance about things we cannot see. Through their Faith , the people in the days of old earned a good reputation’’.

faith is the confidence you have that something good is going to come your way when you’re expectant of some thing good perhaps a gift in a day of reward by someone you have done something good and a promised is given to you that you will get reward for well behaved or being happy to mark your birthday and very sure that you will receive gift from people coming to celebrate with you on your birthday.

However, how high and strong a person is in his/her growth in Faith depends on how much consistence and diligent one is in the pursuit of being a partake of His divine nature getting ready to escape the corruption that’s in the world through Lust.

The testing of your spiritual maturity as a Christian depends on what you do when no one is watching you or when you are alone in your comfy zone or in your closet when no human eyes are prying in you but remember that there is an OMNIPRESENCES that sees both In the dark and in light.

Spiritual maturity also call for restraint because as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, already we have inherited His nature.

Growing in faith is a complex nature whereby one is not expected to remain with the ‘MUSTARD SEED’ Level; you are expected to graduate based on what you have learnt and experienced in your match to gaining hindsight to the word of God and how committed you have grown in being faithful in following Him.
the Bible says “Although He was a Son , He learnt Obedience through what He suffered” (Hebrew 5:8).

Paul said, I Thank God who always make us to be victorious in everything we do, we must have to gain victory over every form of limitation and over anything that may hinder our growth in faith.

Have you been toiling and trying to work out things laboriously and they seems to be no result and as such you’re contemplating to give up. God want to heal your mind and your heart, He want a complete overhauling of your total self so as to produce good result. He wants you to labor in the word along with Him by staying with the word and saying the word as He would say it by faith

Jesus Christ challenged His disciples to be In charged of their circumstances and have dominion. As you obey God many things begin to align themselves in your Favour that was why He said to them. “For verily I say unto you, that whosever shall say unto this mountain , Be thou removed and be cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but believe that those things which he said shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he said” (Mark 11:23).

Keep on proclaiming the word with faith in God it surely will prevail. It suffices that you should not allow your self to be knocked out of His words and promises or allow situations that are contrary to His word to make you succumb to any voice or ideas that is not in accordance with His word instead speak the word of God to counter such ideas. “Say unto them as Truely as I live saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears , so will I do to you”. (Numbers 14:28).

A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth says the scripture so to actually grow in faith you have to be connected to the word and keep on saying what it says and develop a very good relationship with God and trust Him with all your mind and believe in Him. John 14:1 Jesus Comforts His Disciples “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me\”.
