OUR  FATHER  WHICH ART IN HEAVEN.

Matthew 6;9-10. KJV

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Every word of our Lord\’s prayer is very remarkable and vital in approaching the throne of heaven. When Jesus Christ began to teach His Disciples how to pray, He start with such a warming welcoming words \”OUR FATHER\” He Recognized God who dwells in the light which no eye can see as OUR FATHER.

\”Who alone has immortality [in the sense of exemption from every kind of death] and lives in unapproachable light, Whom no man has ever seen or can see. Unto Him be honor and everlasting power and dominion. Amen (so be it) (1Timothy 6:16) AMP.

The God\’s chosen people, The Israelites never approached Him as \”Our Father\” because they had never been encouraged to approached God in heaven with such a familiarity and warmth in old testament. Jesus thought His Disciples how to develop a pleasant intimacy with God Almighty who lived in heaven. These He Demonstrated in His prayers, John 17:1- of which the church popularly referred to as our Lord\’s prayer.

\”Jesus had addressed every one of His prayers to His \”FATHER\” When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. …\” (John 17:1-26).

In doing that He reminds us not to grow complacent or presumptuous in the presence of our father because He is not like our ordinary earthly father, He is Our father in Heaven. The Heavens are His throne and the earth is His footstool.

\”I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart\”. (Jeremiah 24:7)

The very one to whom we are encouraged to pray is the one who has the power and authority and the wisdom to fulfill our desire and to answer our prayers. No matter how big the issue of our lives looks like or how impossible it may seem like there is nothing that seems difficult and impossible for Our Father in Heaven to handle for us when we call upon Him in our prayers.

When we pray, the very first desire of our hearts is to Honour Him and praise Him. ,\”..HALLOWED BE THY NAME). Recognized that our heavenly father is worthy of all your praises and devotion, we are to hallow ,(set apart and above)His name in our hearts.

If His name is scared in our hearts then His name will be consecrated in the choices we make and the actions we take in life. Apostle Paul Advised the breathren in Philippines to Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] philippines 2:5.

He is our Father in Heaven, come to Him with boldness and confidence that whatever we present before Him according to His Will He shall grant unto us \’Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need\”. Philippines 4:6).
