YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Mark 15:34-39. ESV.

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” And some of the bystanders hearing it said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah.” And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.” And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

During our spiritual tests, we are apparently left completely alone, although in fact we are not alone – at those times God is most intimately present at our deepest level of grief, giving us support. Because of that inner presence, confidence that we are being sustained spiritually our hope is build up and this will lead us into having successfully pass true test of spiritual partnership with God at the moment of our deepest grieves. In the Lord\’s case, He was then united to God, His Father, at the deepest level. The Lord was left to Himself during the suffering on the cross, because He had carried the sin of the whole world on His shoulders as is clear from His crying out on the cross: \”God, why have you abandoned me?\” (Matthew 27:46).

Jesus christ in His human nature felt the same pains we would have felt when in pains. In His moment of trials, was abandoned even by the recipient of His good Will. That\’s life, in times of difficulty you will be lift alone to face it squarely be strong and know that He is Lord.

\”Be still and know that I am God,” the first half of Psalms 46 :10(a) is a popular verse used to encourage believers to be still and silent before the Lord. This interpretation promotes a healthy rest in the presence of the Lord and assurance that you\’re not alone when in trouble. \”He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him\”. (Psalms 91:15.

John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of whom I said, ‘A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’” (John 1:29-34).

Do not be carried away when dealing with men for the scripture told us that arm of flesh will fail us. It doesn\’t matter how much kind you may decide to be to another, do it to the glory of God for your father in heaven who see the work of your hands will reward you handsomely.

PRAYER

My Father and my God, please in your infinit mercies help us to stand strong and courageous in the faces of trials and persecutions. We are just pencil in your hand deliver us from people with bad motives in Jesus name Amen

REFLECTION
Jesus calling out in seeming despair shows us the nature of the trials we will face if we want to be united to Him. When we feel most alone the Lord is actually closely present with us, and we will experience that closeness after we pass through temptation. The veil that separated the people in the temple from the ark of the Lord, was ripped in two to show that now nothing separates us from directly reaching out to the Lord for help

Thanks for reading, May God Bless you Amen. Blessing Onugha ❤️
