TRIAL OF YOUR FAITH.

James 1:2-4. TPT.

2 My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! 3 For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things. 4 And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

\”What doesn\’t kill you makes you stronger\”. When it comes to a test of faith, this quote comes true. Challenges can be met with excitement for some, full of anxiety to others. Life can always be viewed as a gift, although it can be very difficult to think of it like this when times are tough. With practical devotions to God at that tough times, faith to God, and endurance with patient it gets easier with each challenge to overcome.

The trial of your faith according to peter comes \”so that the proven genuineness of your faith; of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed\”. 1Peter 1:7.

The same peter in 1peter 4:12, encouraged us \”Beloved friends, if life gets extremely difficult, with many tests, don’t be bewildered as though something strange were overwhelming you\”.

In light of this, James spoke to Jewish Christian workers who were being oppressed by the rich and advised them to patiently endure. In James 5:7-8, \”So be patient, brethren, [as you wait] till the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits expectantly for the precious harvest from the land. [See how] he keeps up his patient [vigil] over it until it receives the early and late rains. So you also must be patient. Establish your hearts [strengthen and confirm them in the final certainty], for the coming of the Lord is very near\”.

If you have faith, thou hast infinitely more than he who has all the world, and yet is destitute of faith. To him that believeth it is said, “All things are yours.” Faith is the assurance of sonship, the pledge of inheritance, the grasp of boundless possession, the perception of the invisible.

Faith is holding on to the word of prophecy believing it must come true even when you have not seen it yet you believe. In practice it takes your unalloyed trust in God to feed your faith when being tested having waited for such a very long time. \”For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the last it shall speak and not lie: though it tarry, wait: for it shall surely come, and shall not delay\”. Habakkuk 2:3.

I ask that you strengthen my devotion to you with each hurdle that passes knowing too well that it was you that helped me over and will ever help me when the path seems too challenging to continue, I look up to you for thou at worthy to lead me to that path that leads to righteousness For your glory in Jesus Christ name I prayed Amen.

REFLECTION

But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not fainted, they will walk and not become tired.
