GOD’S EVERLASTING LOVE.

Romans 8:31-35. NKJV.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? .

The Bible is filled with numerous moments of assurance for our lives. God loved us so much, and desired our salvation so much, that He gave up his Son so that we could be saved. This one act is enough to convince us that nothing can ever stand against us. We can do all things through Christ so long as it is to the glory of God. We can face all kinds of rulers of darkness and principalities boldly because God is always with us and that will never change.

God\’s love has given us the assurance we need to be strong in Him and do great exploits for Him. We all know that Love is not merely one of God\’s attributes, but his very nature. The Scripture say, \”And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him\” (1 John 4:16).

Knowing God loves us changes everything. We are secure in His love and able to love others. God\’s love is infinite, individual, initiative, and involved. The Cross is the proof of God\’s love. We fully appreciate God’s love when we realize just how unworthy we are of it, Yet He loves the unlovable. His love is greater than our sin. We can’t fully appreciate this unless we understand the bitter awfulness of our sin. God loves us not because of who we are and what we have done but because of who God is .

The Psalmist was descriptive in recording the love and nature of God. He stated that He was \”full of faithful love\” (Psalm 103:8), \”For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him\” (Psalm 103:11), \”As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him\” (Psalm 103:13-14).

PRAYER

Dear God, I thank you that I find my confidence in you. Lord, time and time again you have given us every reason to trust in you and never doubt you. No dark power or force can ever prosper against us because we are backed up by you, the Almighty God. My Father and our dear God, I pray that if there is ever a time challenges try to overwhelm me, may I be reminded of this truth that you are always with me and can not be separated from me, that alone will never change In Jesus name, I pray Amen.

REFLECTION

Much of our physical and emotional illness is due to moral failure. In removing the sin and guilt from our lives God\’s love brings healing to our emotional life.
